Rehabilitation With MEND
INJURY MANAGEMENT - RETURN TO WORK PROGRAM
MEND injured worker management program has been developed to assist workers to recover quicker both physically and mentally and return to work in a meaningful and fulfilling role. This program has been developed with Intact Projects Employees and Intact Projects Management.
Intact Projects expect employees to co-operate with our return-to-work efforts.
We are committed to:-
- Preventing injury and illness through safe systems of work.
- Complying with the Workers Compensation Act 1987, Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1988 and other relevant guidelines.
- Commencing the process of injury management as soon as is safely possible.
- Creating a workplace climate that supports work based injury management.
- Consulting with employees and their unions throughout the return-to-work process?
- Where ever practical providing suitable duties for employees participating in return-to-work.
- Fully exploring the return-to-work processes for injured workers with a long term disability prior to commencing the dismissal process.
Intact Projects also firmly believe in prevention and have never had to employ the Mend Return to work program but have endeavoured to put in place the best system possible for both employees and employer in the unfortunate event the return to work module of the MEND program is required.
